The Psalm of Chi’Yo
Part One
The dark majestic statue stands toweringly,
It is not only the totem of the Miao Nationality in Xiangxi,
But also the God of war in Chinese nation’s legend,
Chi’Yo will never die, and all enemies fear you from hearts,
You are also the rain god for the farming ethnics
Chi’Yo pays sympathy for people, and fall with abundant water,
So the fountains rising, waves rippling, waterfalls cascading.
You are over the thousands of years of vicissitudes of life,
So the history of the earth becomes so plump!

The majestic statue, as a sacred Totem,
Worshiped by the generation after generation,
The same as flames rising,
Roasted the golden years,
A great nation reborn in the fire,
Like Phoenix’s Nirvana, dream
Like the regeneration of the ancient lotus’ seeds,
In the sludge the lotus flowers are in full blooming,
Again, the national grand movement,
The revival of the nation begins!
Part Two
Although defeated in Zhuolu, and the nation had to migrate,
The tribulations cast your majesty,
Besides remove the disease and evil, you control the weather,
The incarnation and ancestor of the dragon is no others but you!

Maybe, it doesn't need the coward's creeping before you,
You inspire later generations straight their backs,
You would rather to be a dragon boat,
Cleave through the waves, flying in the storm,
With the collision speed and passion,
Casting the distant horizon with ideal!

Like Moses led the suffering people out of the land of Egypt,
You make the East Sleeping Lions out of the morass,
Let the darkness shortened,
Let the seawater become sweet,
Let all the absurd fantasy into reality,
Let all bold deviants stir up the times’ tide!

The wind and rain become heavy while the thunderbolts so terrific,
The seeds of life also can be rooted in the barrens,
Let every barren hill become profusion of vegetation,
Let every plain become full of the beauty of Spring!
Frustration and difficulties cannot stop us,
We, all of us, like you,
Shoulder the heavy mission,
To dedicate ourselves for the great changes!

Chinese dream has never been so strong,
Million people united as one man, our wills unite like a fortress,
The sons of Chi’Yo will keep forward like arrows!

那黑魆魆突兀矗立的神像
不僅僅是湘西苗族祭祀的圖騰
更是中華民族神話中的戰(zhàn)神
蚩尤威而不死，八方萬(wàn)邦皆為弭服
你還是農(nóng)耕民族祈雨的雨神
蚩尤憐萬(wàn)民，豐沛雨水降
于是泉涌溶洞，河漾波濤，瀑瀉巉巖
你逾越了萬(wàn)年的滄桑
恒古因你而豐腴

雄偉的神像，作為神圣的圖騰
使一代又一代活的生命折服
當(dāng)朝拜像火焰升騰
烤熟了金黃的歲月
一個(gè)偉大的民族浴火重生
鳳凰涅槃，夢(mèng)想
如再生的千年的古蓮
污泥中綻放瑰麗的奇葩

悲壯的歷史塑就了你的威嚴(yán)
除疫避邪，主風(fēng)調(diào)雨順
你是龍的化身，龍的祖先
